Mission
CONNECT : Canadian HIV/AIDS Information Gateway seeks to ease the burden
of HIV/AIDS on individuals and communities in Canada by facilitating access
to information about HIV/AIDS. Representing a consortium of Canadian HIV/AIDS
resource centres, CONNECT will link people living with HIV/AIDS, populations
at risk, health care practitioners, service providers, and people affected
by HIV/AIDS with vital information about HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and
legal/ethical issues.
Goals
- To increase the capacity of Canadians to access quality HIV/AIDS information
resources in all areas of HIV/AIDS simultaneously.
- To increase the capacity of users to find relevant HIV/AIDS information
resources in less time and with a minimum amount of effort.
- To increase national awareness of the availability of resources related
to HIV/AIDS.
