Borrowing privileges:
Single copies of any article from CATIE in the CONNECT database can be faxed or mailed for research and/or private study, free of charge to people living in Canada. The book and multimedia collection does not circulate; however, researchers and individuals who wish to consult CATIE's book or multimedia collection can make an appointment to visit the library.

Types of restricted materials:
The book and multi-media collection is available for consultation on site.

Collection description:
The National Reference Library on HIV/AIDS Information has over 1,400 books, subscriptions to over 60 medical and consumer journals, national and international treatment newsletters (spanning countries such as Canada, USA, France, Britain and Australia), electronic and Internet-based resources, community-based publications from across Canada, and a sizeable French-language collection.

Scope of collection:
The extensive subject scope of CATIE's Resource Centre includes quality resources on antiretroviral therapies, treatment and prevention of AIDS-related conditions, co-infections, emerging treatment and prevention research, complementary therapies, nutrition, and health and well-being.

Other Services:
In addition to materials found in the CONNECT database, research and reference services; skills development training in researching and evaluating treatment & prevention information; and CATIE's bilingual HIV/AIDS Treatment Thesaurus.
